Costumers Product Reviews
Pros
As is often the case for high-end products, being able to list every value (and why not even defects where present) is never easy.
A young product is always likely to reserve some nasty surprises due to still unripe firmware. However, this is not the case with this Asus GT-AX11000; thanks to the predecessor (GT-AC5300) which carried with it a number of stability problems (random reboot was almost on the agenda) and related to the browsing dashboard (sometimes it took seconds to change between setting pages) on this AX11000 finally the music (and stability) changes!
With 13 connected clients (4 of which via lan) between camcorders, consoles, PCs, chromecast etc... the product is responsive and always ready for every click.
There are many functions (some of which are well implemented if PC users) where you can set the best operating mode. After 12 hours of work it never overheated.
List below features and peculiarities
PRO
-Game Boost mode that privileges gaming traffic to complete...
-... an adaptive QoS that really WORKS!
-Programmable side button (in the attached image you can observe the 4 settings that allow the button to start the desired choice... for example the Aura Led switch/off or of Game boost)
-Wifi coverage at maximum levels. Wifi networks are in all 3 (5GHZ-1, 5GHZ-2, 2.4GHz) and even with 4 overlapping walls and a distance of 30mt even the 5GHz band has impressive stability!!!
-2.5G port for connection to new network adapters that provide such
-USB technology for dongle and internet key connection
-Integration with ALEXA for commands (turn off wifi rather than disabling internet connection)
AGAINST -Price if even in line with high end products brings with whether the exclusivity of some features and youth of the commodity
Cons
doesn't think everything promised.
For my scenario:
4 Persohnenhousehold, DSL 50K/10K (DrayTek Vigor 130)
=> 2 times Youtube, 1 times Netflix and 1 Gaming PC (BF 5, Dota2)
This router should prioritize the gaming PC so that during the streams there are no ping sharp.
-Gaming PC connected via Lan (even the newest Asus motherboard with GameFirst V installed) should run smoothly.
-all other devices via Wi-Fi.
-Download rate of all devices reduced as much as possible
-GameBoost mode enabled, PC was detected and rated highest.
Unfortunately, the same pingspikes occurred when playing as a Fitzbox, even though not even 60% of the line was used.
If the Wi-Fi is off, no more problems. (so no problem of connecting to the server)
With BF5 it does not particularly weight, but with Dota2 each ping spike is like a lag and inputs arrive delayed.
I tried it for several days and different settings did not bring any improvement.
For those who have the same problem, I cannot make a recommendation here.
