This is a great watch. I have used this watch for a month now and I'm very impressed. Battery life is brilliant, you could easily get a week or more depending on how you use it. This watch is not a smartphone on your wrist! You can cancel calls but cannot answer them. You can read notifications from any apps you choose to connect to the watch and you can read messages and emails, however, you cannot reply. Personally I like it this way, I do not want to talk to a watch and I do not want to type texts on a watch! There is no web browsing on this watch either, which I am also not bothered about. Smart watches that have all of these functions do not have as good battery life as this watch! I have used it in pools and showers with no issues and it still works perfectly in these environments. Also, I have a very heavy and dusty job and have worn it every day at work with no issues. I am a cyclist and can say that this watch is brilliant on rides. It gives you a lot of detailed information during the ride and GPS is very accurate. It also uses hardly any battery during a ride, which I love! Unfortunately it does not sync with Strava, which is the only downside for me but the Huawei health app is very good and gives you some good info and detailed mapping. I have faith in Huawei though and hope that in future they shall sync with Strava! Sleep tracking is very interesting and gives you a lot of info on the health app about your sleep patterns. The heath app is great and has loads of info via reports and achievements. There are watch faces being added regularly so there are plenty of designs to choose from, I have included some pics of some of my faves. Apparently there is talk of even more and possibly a watch face store, so watch this space. Currently there is no payment option on the watch. I highly recommend this watch. It has excellent battery life, a lovely display and pairs with a very detailed and informative app. I may even get the Huawei scales next! Cons
I'm quite a tech savvy person and I didn't look much into this watch before buying, which is a big regret on my part. It doesn't use wear OS, which means no external apps, assistant, external music apps, watch face customisation other than the limited stock ones available and no reply/call options on messaging apps. There's also no NFC payment if you live outside China I believe it says so I can't do payments on this watch either.
If you want to use it as a fitness tracker I've found it very unreliable as I have used many heart rate trackers before and this one is by far the most lowest heart rate scores I've ever seen. Even when running 20k or doing very competitive crossfit style workouts (I barely even get out of the "warmup" range during my heart rate peaks). The step counter is terrible, as I use a huawei phone as well and if you plan to sync this watch up with your phone (which almost all smartwatch users will do) it will use a combination between your phone's step count (which you can't switch off if using huawei) and the watches step count. So either way the step count is going to end up different on that app to the watch.
Also a bunch of other notes for anyone planning to buy this watch:
No always on display (unless you want your battery life cut in half)
Wake up gesture very rarely wakes the watch in my experience compared against fitbit smart watches.
Step count is way too high (I've used 3 step counters before and this one almost doubles my steps I do evrey day)
Finally, vibration is very weak on this device and I can barely feel it. Return ASAP, do not buy.
