Pros
Ordered this to accompany a Ryzen 5 2600x, Arrived yesterday and i had it up and running within a couple of hours after clearing out the old stuff from my pc case etc. The board is nice and looks a lot better than the pictures. It had no issues working with my 2600x and Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb ddr4 3000mz although i did have to go in to the bios and change the ram frequency to match the speeds of my ram as it registered as 2166mhz at first but this is super easy to do and that brings me on to my next point the Bios for this board is great and really easy to use, it is the first bios I have used that allows mouse support :P (it has been a few years since my last upgrade) but being able to click and drag drive boot orders around etc was a breeze. I have been running this with a 750w PSU, Ryzen 2600x, 16gb 3000Mhz Ram, SSD, 3 Sata Hard Drives, and I also have 5 Fans as well as the Wraith Prism RGB Cooler all connected up and it works flawlessly. I have given it a Bios update to the latest version which you can download from the MSI website but make sure you get the correct one for your motherboard, Download that and extract the contents to a USB memory stick reboot the system into the bios and update from there, it took around 2-3 minutes but leave it to do its thing it will reboot and all will be good, you might need to change your boot order again and memory frequency but that was easy to do the first time. Anyway its the day after and the computer is still working great only time will tell if this mobo was a worthy purchase or not but so far im really pleased with it. Would recommend 10/10.
Cons
I don't really leave many reviews however I think this time it warranted it. I was expecting this to accompany a simple budget build and after much research I settled for the MSI Gaming Plus board as it contained the flashback bios feature which was handy considering I needed to be able to flash the bios before using a 3000 series Ryzen cpu.
However, at first many hours spent trying to diagnose why the SSD and HDD weren't being recognised resulting in finding out that the provided sata cables were faulty. after this issue and during installation of windows 10 the board kept restarting for no reason resulting in different errors using the EZ Debug feature on the motherboard first being CPU then DRAM etc. I tested these parts in another build and these worked perfectly which led me to believe the board might be faulty. After another hopeful restart this resulted in the board not booting up whatsoever, which in the end led the power supply to become faulty, however testing another working power supply resulted in that power supply also becoming faulty which caused significant inconvenience and expense at getting them replaced.
The board has had to be sent back to Amazon and awaiting their contact from support due to it causing damage to other working components.
