Pros
There is no escaping that this is a lot of money for a mouse but it is the best I have ever used and, after a month of daily use, I think it is worth every penny.
I have been searching for a mouse for a long time that is ergonomic and suitable for both work and gaming. I have tried other options from Logitech and Microsoft which have not been much cheaper and were a disappointment. This ticks all the boxes and does everything well.
Quality is as you would expect for the price - well made with good fit and finish and some real metal parts (not just painted plastic). Despite this, it is light and is as good as any gaming mouse I have ever used, with excellent precision and adjustable DPI setting that can be set to custom values. I have also still never needed to charge it, despite using daily for over a month, often for over 7 hours a day.
Only minor complaints:
- Mac support is limited as the Razer software is Windows only. I have managed to find a 3rd party app that allows the buttons to be customised, and it is possible to setup on Windows and save the profile on the mouse itself as a workaround. Not a great experience for something this expensive though.
- Supplied cable must be used for charging. Micro USB is used (which is a bit baffling when almost everything has moved to USB C now), but the space around the port is limited and does not fit a standard sized cable. Not brilliant as this is the only way to charge and battery is not removable.
Cons
All worked well for the first couple of months, now suffering from disconnects and stuttering every couple of minutes when connected with the 2.4ghz dongle. Still working fine when connected via charging cable which is fine but for a wireless mouse to struggle this much wirelessly is ridiculous
