Pros

have several echo dots in the house.

Now when I received the DiscoVR for testing, the Echo Dot had to give way in the living room.

The packaging is very noble and very good. In addition to the speaker itself, there is only a USB cable and a quick start guide.

The power supply was deliberately omitted due to environmental awareness because almost every household has countless such power supplies.

The setup is possible in approx. 5-10 minutes via the manufacturer's own app. In this app you can also log in with various accounts (Amazon, Spotify, etc.)

From there on, the speaker is actually already ready for use.

The controls appear to run directly from Amazon's Alexa system, giving the same comfort as Echo devices.

The buttons on the surface react very well and are very intuitive to use.

The speaker can be lowered in the housing which works relatively hard... this could be a little more smooth. But since he has his fixed place in my living room with me that does not bother me at all.

Mainly we use the article to radio and stream music via Amazon or TuneIn.

Since I was satisfied with the Echo Dots as far as the sound is concerned, I was incredibly surprised how great the sound of the DiscoVR is. There are worlds in between.

Certainly you can not compare the sound with a home cinema or similar but you have to see the relation and therefore I find the sound fantastic.

Connecting via jack plug or Bluetooth also works perfectly and without any problems.

Very positive I also find that the speaker has a built-in battery which delivers up to 15 hours of music.

So you can also take the speaker with you outside (park, garden etc.) and can stream your favorite music wherever you have WLAN reception. Who would like to have a picnic can simply use his mobile phone as a WLAN HotSpot to stream.

My conclusion:

The price is already neat but for this you get a great sound, many functions, a battery that lasts very long and offers full comfort.

Therefore, I am happy to give my purchase recommendation. The DiscoVR is definitely an alternative to the Echo devices.

Cons

At first this speaker worked really well, the sound from such a small speaker was really good, it is portable and had a decent battery life I could have it in any room of the house depending on where I was doing the housework, and it could be loud enough to be heard from an adjacent room, however I noticed along the way that the Bluetooth connection was more unreliable, and just before it died altogether it wouldn't find my internet radio stations anymore. Then it just died. I was asking Alexa something and it just died. Now when I turn it on it gives the red light which indicates that it needs charging, but after many hours plugged in, using different cables, different plugs, its still not charging and not working. There is no way to contact the seller, Yoltso, on Amazon anymore, and its out of the 30 days returns window so I cant talk to Amazon about it either. No after sales support at all. I do not recommend this product, and I will not buy another one, and I also will not purchase anything from Yoltso again.
